Laura Harstad lives in Mankato with her husband and two teenage sons and is an active member of Greater Mankato Growth. Laura is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she completed a Bachelor of Science in K-12 Vocal Music Education and Bethany Lutheran College, where she earned her Associate of Arts.

She has over 25 years of combined experience in education, nonprofit program development and recruitment, and entrepreneurship. Having lived in three countries and traveled to five continents, she brings a global perspective and a genuine curiosity about people to everything she does.

Laura has always been drawn to opportunities that help others feel valued, encouraged, and connected. She is the Founder and Director of the Mankato Homeschool Choir - inspiring and building confidence in her students through music. She is a certified mindset coach and speaks to audiences about how to “shift the lens” and look at situations from a new perspective. She also leads a group coaching program for Christian women. In every role, her goal is to create opportunities where people can experience more joy!

Laura is excited to be part of a program that gives students real-world entrepreneurial experiences while building relationships with local business leaders.
